Fifteen ICT Students Benefit From Huawei Seeds For The Future

Ministry of Communications in collaboration with Huawei a Telecommunications Company has selected fifteen students from some tertiary institutions in Ghana to join other students from 95 countries in the world for this year’s “Huawei Seeds for the Future” in China for a 10-day educational programme. International Telecommunication and Information Society Day Observed In Ghana

Ghana joined the rest of the world to observe World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) on 17th May which is celebrated annually. Minister for Communications Pays a Familiarisation Visit to NCA

On Monday 8th May, 2017, the Hon. Minister for Communications, Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, payed a working visit to the National Communications Authority (NCA) to familiarise with the operations of the Authority. The Hon. Minister of Communications Fraternizes With Data Protection Commission

As part of her official duties, the Minister of Communications scheduled a meeting with the Data Protection Commission, an Agency of the ministry to fraternize with management and staff of the commission. Minister for Communications Meets With Staff of GIFEC

Hon. Ursula Owusu- Ekuful, Minister for communications has met with staff of GIFEC as part of her familiarization visits to Agencies under the Ministry. She was accompanied by her two Deputy Ministers Hon. Vincent Sowah Odotei and Hon. George Andah to interact with management and staff of the organisation purposely to have first-hand information about their operations and to foster a closer working relationship with them.

Minister Engages Former Appointees

Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Minister for Communications invited the members of the Transition Teams for both the in-coming administration and the out-gone administration for an evening reception to express her appreciation for their cooperation in ensuring a successful transition in the administration of the Ministry.

The well-attended informal event was held on the rooftop of the Ministry’s building with Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, former Minister for Communications, Mr. Ato Sarpong, former Deputy Minister and former Chairman and CEOs of the Agencies under the Ministry in attendance.
