Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Minister for Communications invited the members of the Transition Teams for both the in-coming administration and the out-gone administration for an evening reception to express her appreciation for their cooperation in ensuring a successful transition in the administration of the Ministry.
The well-attended informal event was held on the rooftop of the Ministry’s building with Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, former Minister for Communications, Mr. Ato Sarpong, former Deputy Minister and former Chairman and CEOs of the Agencies under the Ministry in attendance.
Hon. Ursula expressed her delight to see the former ministers who were ready to share their experiences and strengthen the oneness of purpose for the continual development of the ICT sector and the country’s progress.
She said “governance was a continuous process which includes the present, past and the future. It was therefore important for this event to be organized to know where we intend to go”. She hoped that this would be a trailblazer for others to emulate since we work together “to move the country to the direction that we all yearn for”.
On his part, Hon Edward Omane Boamah expressed gratitude to the Minister and the current team for putting the event together. He said, he would be always ready to assist in whichever way may be required to see the progress of the communications sector.
Present at the reception were, Deputy Communications Ministers-designate Hon. George Andah and Hon. Vincent Sowah Odotei, new and former Heads of Agencies under the Ministry, the Chief Director and Directors of the Ministry.
