Brief History

The Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT (AITI-KACE) was established in 2003 through a partnership between Government of Ghana and the Government of India. It is Ghana’s first Advanced Information Technology Institute charged with the task of stimulating growth in the ICT Sector in ECOWAS. Our state-of-the-art facility provides a dynamic environment for innovation, teaching and learning as well as practical research on the application of ICT for Development (ICT4D) in Africa.

To be a Centre of excellence in ICT and eGovernance.
Promoting Research and Innovation, human & institutional Capacity building,
Consultancy services and setting standards for ICT and eGovernance solutions.

MISSION

To coordinate and oversee an ICT and egovernance system that produces globally competitive research and Innovation,
human and institutional capacity building and consultancy through quality oriented and demand-driven products and
services for accelerated national development.
