Communications Minister Inaugurates Two Boards

The Minister of Communications, Ursula Owusu Ekuful has entreated staff and management of Ghana Post to modernize their operations to meet the ongoing digital transformation.
Inaugurating a seven member board for the company in Accra, Mrs Ekuful said Ghana Post must step up efforts to ensure that it provides a one stop shop for accessing all e-services.
She noted that the company existed to provide prompt, efficient, reliable and secure communications and financial services to domestic and foreign customers for profit.
The board, chaired by Mr George Afedzi Hayford, has Messrs James Kwofie, Desmond Boateng, Yiadom B. Kessie, Frederick Akuffo-Gyimah, and Michael Nana Yaw Adu-Darko as members.
The Chairman, Mr Afedzi Hayford pledged the team’s commitment to work hard to achieve the desired results for the company.
The occasion also saw the inauguration of an interim management board for the Accra Digital Centre. The board has Abraham Kofi Asante as Chairman, with Gary Nimako, Kosi Yankey, Eric Kofi Ofosu, Valerie Hudson and Clara Pinkra-Sam as members.
They are expected to assist the center to harness the digital potential of Ghana by promoting digital entrepreneurship and creation of digital and ancillary jobs for the youth.
