SUMMARY:MS GEEK GHANA COMPETITION\, 2024
DESCRIPTION:The Grand finale is happening today \, Thursday\, 8th August 2024 at the Accra City Hotel \nThe purpose of this is to create awareness and encourage young girls between the ages of 13 and 21 to submit projects that solve socio-economic problems through technological innovations. \nA total of 66 applications from across the country were received. \nSubsequently\, 15 best ICT solutions were selected. The applicants enrolled in a residential Master Class from 29 July to 2nd August 2024. \nAfter the master class\, the 15 applicants were further shortlisted to 10. Their projects range from environmental sustainability to healthcare digitization and agriculture management.

SUMMARY:Transform African Summit (TAS-24)
DESCRIPTION:Transform African Summit is an initiative of the Smart African Alliance\, organised annually as a forum to bring together global and regional leaders from governments\, business and international organizations to collaborate on new ways of shaping\, accelerating and sustaining African’s on-going digital revolution. \nThe Honourable Minister for Communications and Digitalisation will be leading Ghana’s delegation to participate in the 2024 TAS scheduled from 28th to 30th August 2024 in Nairobi-Kenya. \nTAS will also host the 2024 final competition of the Ms. Geek African contest. The competition is to inspire African girls to be part of solving the continent’s challenges using technology and to encourage them to choose a career in the STEM fields. \n
