The Training of Girls (ToG) under the National Girls-In-ICT Programme is currently ongoing in the Upper West Region, equipping hundreds of young girls with critical digital skills.
The programme, spearheaded by the Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovation, seeks to empower girls with knowledge in coding, basic programming, web development, and other ICT-related skills. Participants are also receiving mentorship and career guidance to inspire them to pursue opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
The Girls-In-ICT Programme continues to serve as a platform for building the confidence, creativity, and future career aspirations of young Ghanaian girls, while strengthening the nation’s human resource base for the digital economy
