Addressing delegates at the event, the Minister underscored Ghana’s longstanding partnership with the ITU since joining the Union in 1957. He noted that Ghana has served on the ITU Council since 2002, actively contributing to Radiocommunications, Standardisation and Development through Study Groups, conferences and regional coordination.
Hon. Samuel Nartey George emphasised Ghana’s leadership role in Africa’s communications sector and highlighted the National Communications Authority’s (NCA) status as an ITU-certified training partner since 2019.

He stressed that Ing. Fianko’s expertise in spectrum management, harmful interference resolution and regulatory compliance has significantly strengthened the RRB’s work since 2023, making continuity essential.
In brief remarks, Ing. Fianko expressed appreciation to the Government of Ghana and Member States for the trust placed in him during his first term.
