An Illustrious Career of Brand Excellence
Edwin began his career with Parry & Co., the sole broker for MW Brands/Heinz, where he brought local relevance to iconic brands such as Star-Kist, Sunset Rice, TEACHER, and John West. His knack for creating impactful marketing strategies led him to join Nestlé Central and West Africa as a Regional Brand Manager. He played a pivotal role in spearheading marketing innovation and renovation initiatives across 22 countries for celebrated brands like NIDO, MILO, GOLDEN MORN, CEREVITA, and GLORIA.
Seeking to broaden his portfolio beyond FMCG, Edwin transitioned to the telecommunications sector, joining Surfline Communications. As a key architect of the premier 4G LTE telecommunications brand in Ghana, he managed brand communications from start-up through its successful launch.
In subsequent years, Edwin returned to Nestlé to manage the Dairy Category for Ghana, Liberia, and Sierra Leone, overseeing powerhouse brands like IDEAL, CARNATION, and MILO (CEREAL). His leadership further solidified his status as a marketing innovator who consistently delivers results. In 2020, he joined Fan Milk (a Danone company) as the Marketing manager and later became the Commercial Director, overseeing the sales and marketing efforts of beloved brands including FANYOGO, FANCHOCO, FANICE, and FANMAXX. His tenure saw a myriad of ground breaking innovations that won coveted awards including the “Hall of fame award by the CIMG.”
Leadership and TransitionIn 2022, Edwin became the Managing Director of Zoomlion Private Services Limited, where he spearheaded a modern waste management revolution, placing sustainability and service excellence at the heart of the business. His tenure at Zoomlion ended in September 2024, as Edwin shifted focus to support other businesses in a consultancy role. Edwin now the Project Coordinator, consulting on a World Bank Funded Ghana Digital Acceleration Project with a main objective to improve Broadband internet access within the country, digitize government processes across various agencies & ministries and help expand the digital ecosystem.
