
A delegation from the Ghana Esports Federation (GESF), led by its President, Mr. Igor Boumekpo, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations (MoCDTI), Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP).

The visit was to formally introduce the Federation and explore opportunities for collaboration in advancing digital skills, job creation, and Ghana’s esports industry.
The delegation congratulated the Minister on his appointment and commended him for his dedication to Ghana’s digital transformation agenda.
They expressed their support for working closely with the Ministry to integrate esports into the nation’s digital economy strategy.
Hon. Minister George expressed his commitment to collaborate and partner with the Federation through the Ministry of Youth and Sports to explore opportunities for integrating esports into Ghana’s national digital transformation agenda.
Discussions centered on the following key areas:
1. Policy Alignment: Recognizing esports as a formal industry within Ghana’s digital economy.
2. Infrastructure Development: Enhancing youth engagement in the digital space through esports infrastructure.
3. Digital Skills and Innovation: Promoting digital skills training, innovation, and entrepreneurship through esports.
