
In a significant move to strengthen collaboration and address pressing issues in the broadcasting sector, the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), today held a meeting with the management of the Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA).

During the discussions, GIBA took the opportunity to congratulate the Minister on his appointment and expressed their eagerness to work closely with the ministry to enhance the quality of broadcasting in Ghana.

The meeting covered a range of critical topics, including digital migration, the future of broadcasting bill, compliance, content piracy, licensing, and the financial sustainability of the industry, capacity building , and training support among others.
The Minister emphasized his commitment to maintaining a strong partnership with GIBA, acknowledging the long-standing relationship between the ministry and the association.
He also underscored his dedication to ensuring compliance within the broadcasting space, which is essential for maintaining high standards and fostering a healthy competitive environment.
In attendance was the Chief Director of the Ministry, Mr. Alexander Yaw Arphul.
