The Parliament & YOU Educational Series has been held in Accra, bringing together students, educators, parliamentary leaders, and development partners in a shared effort to deepen civic understanding and strengthen youth participation in Ghana’s democratic process.
The programme highlighted the importance of connecting classroom learning with real parliamentary practice, with speakers stressing that democracy becomes stronger when young people are actively involved in national conversations and are equipped with the knowledge to understand governance structures.
The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), underscored the need to intentionally invest in the next generation of leaders, noting that the sustainability of Ghana’s democracy depends on how well young people are prepared today.
