Accra, Ghana — 5th June, 2026

The Hon. Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), is currently chairing a technical review meeting with heads of key ICT agencies.

The meeting brings together all agency heads under the Ministry alongside their technical and legal officers who worked on the Draft Bills. Legal consultants engaged by the Ministry are also present as well as representation from IMANI.

The Minister has reviewed all 10 Cabinet Memos submitted to him on the various Draft Bills. Today’s meeting is focused on discussing that review and the current drafts of the Bills with stakeholders.

IMANI Ghana assisted in the current review and is participating in the meeting to provide independent policy input.

The session underscores the Ministry’s commitment to inclusive consultation and evidence-based policymaking as Ghana strengthens legislation on digital technology, cybersecurity, and data protection.
